How can you pass up the chance to meet Ed McGuinness, Jabba The Hutt, get Free Comic Books and win all kinds of cool stuff!

That’s right! Saturday is Free Comic Book Day and Jetpack Comics of Rochester, NH is going to give you a reason to travel! What reason do you need? How about the chance to get OVER 20 Free Comic Books? How about the chance to win an ED McGuinness piece of original art (a $250+ value)? How about the chance to hang out with Jabba The Hutt and dozens of your favorite Star Wars characters? What if you could save big $$ on comic, graphic novel and toy purchases at Jetpack that day? What if you could be a part of what may well ™ be the largest Free Comic Book Day event?

Well enough of the What If’s because this is all true and all happening Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm at Jetpack Comics in Rochester, NH! We’re just gonna hit the highlights here in the always over-used David Letterman Top 10 format with the Spinal Tap 11 twist!

1) – It’s Free Comic Book Day so there are free comics.
Dozens and dozens to choose from. We’ve even got some that no one else has. JUST ADDED – 6 more that no one else has!

2)      – ** MORE HAVE JOINED IN ** Meet dozens (or less) of creators and get things signed.

   Mike Dougherty of The Secret Bunker…Not only does Mike produce t-shirts for Atomic Robo and Gunplay but he’s an accomplished artist in his own mind…I mean right (10 am to 3 pm),
Barrington Middle School Comic Book Club – be sure to stop and pick up all their 25 cent comics time TBD that day)
Bob Raymond and Dennis Magnant – You may so WHO? now but these guys are going places…they’re just taking their time getting there.
   Cinema Suicide – www.cinema-suicide.com. This NH based group is going to be bringing us all the best in Indy (and perhaps mainstream) Horror Films. Watch for their Jetpack Sponsored event coming soon. If you enjoy horror movies you’ve got to stop and visit them on FCBD.
     Jabba the Hutt, Storm Troopers and HUGE array of Star Wars characters will be all over the city. Jabba’s hanging at the Opera House. All of this courtesy of the 501^st! Please be sure to donate to their chosen charity, the Jimmy Fund. Beverages and snax available at the FCBD tent benefit the Jimmy Fund as well.

3) –Join in the city-wide comic book scavenger hunt and win cool prizes.
We may be the only comic shop in the country that has gotten their whole city involved in Free Comic Book Day. You take the time to visit all 15 participating businesses, get your scavenger card signed plus get another free comic at each location. Return the filled out card to the FCBD tents andyou can win prizes, prizes and more prizes. Only in the city that got NATIONAL exposure from Hillary Clinton’s campaign office and a crazy situation. That’s crax crazy off the hizzy if you’re reading my mail! The press may be gone but the fun still exists!

4) – Get JETPACK COMICS EXCLUSIVES not available anywhere else.
We’ve got our own copies of Atomic Robo and Gunplay for you, while the creators are here signing. Get the regular FCBD editions as well as the JETPACK COMICS versions! You can’t get these anywhere else! JUST ADDED – Fatsquad Exclusive, Severed Head Comics Present #1 (the rare lost issue) Johnny Raygun / Jetpack Exclusive Sketch cards, TONS of free swag and we’ve decided to double the fun for everyone. That’s right. Who else is gonna double your fun? What’s that mean? If you like fun, we’ve got twice as much!

5) –CGC Signature Series Services available (especially good for those Jetpack Exclusives).
We got ourselves authorized to witness the signatures if you want your books CGC graded. Turn those free comics into big fat eBay dollars!

6) – SAVE $$$ That DAY
There are savings for everyone that comes to Jetpack that day. More than enough savings to justify the gas to visit us! Walk in the store and DEMAND your coupons!

7) – DOUBLE your booty
Wear your Jetpack Comics T-Shirt and get 2x the amount of Free Stuff at Jetpack. You can even buy the shirt that day but you have to wear it the WHOLE TIME.

8) – Get coupons for Future Savings – That’s Bounce Back to Jetpack for extra special savings.
Don’t forget to pick up the coupons for return visits to Jetpack! Once again you can save more than enough to justify the trip.

9) 25 cent comics – That’s almost free
Under the tents we’re going to have all kinds of SALE stuff for you, your friends and your mom. How about $5 Marvel Comics Hardcovers? What about thousands and thousands of comics for just twenty five cents each? Crazy? You bet it is but why not. It’s Free Comic Book Day!

10) - Come and find out what all the hoopla is about
Why do people travel to Jetpack Comics. It’s all about the LOVE of comics. We’ve got it and we share it! We’re proud of our interest in comics and games…just ask us! We also enjoy fighting, arguing and making fun of each other when the other is not there. We’re as immature as a can of silly string but as passionate as a can of AXE. In the words of the one and only AL…’What does that even mean’

11) - JUST ADDED – BE a part of the END OF THE DAY Super-Skrull Event. Who’s a SKRULL? At 4:00 PM we’ll all be Skrulls (while mask supplies last). Think the Hulk might be a Skrull. Stop by at 4:00 pm and see if Ed McGuinness is. Think Al is a Skrull? Really he’s two! Our friends at Marvel and Wizard have requested that we send them pictures of the event, as well as the FCBD organizers. Be on time and you might get to see your skrully face plastered all over the web (a dab of OXY might fix that).`

There is a limit to the amount of free stuff you can get at Jetpack Comics but wear a Jetpack Comics shirt and you've earned the right to DOUBLE your booty load! That's right. If you proudly wear your Jetpack shirt (either design) you'll get to DOUBLE the amount of freebies and you get to use your coupons TWICE! That's for everyone that is wearing their Jetpack Comics T-Shirt - But it's ONLY if you've got your shirt on! Yes, you can buy a shirt that day and put it on to take advantage!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY JETPACK CGC SIGNATURE SERIES EVENT – I think that Jetpack Comics may be the only ™ FCBD store in New England that has been authorized to have a CGC Signature series event. What’s that mean to you? Check out the CGC website and Ebay to get the gist of it. AS long as I witness the signature / sketch / doodle on the cover of the comic, and I take it directly from you and place it in my secret submission pouch (located beneath Al’s flabs of flesh). We send it in to CGC so your awesome comic can become a valuable item. Think about it. Not only can you get each and every one of our guests to sign copies of their comics for you (pick the ones in the best condition to ensure the highest grade) but where else are you going to get copies of the JETPACK COMICS EDITIONS of GUNPLAY #0 and our ATOMIC ROBO special and have them signed and sent for official Signature Series Grading at the same time? No where else man. It’s only happening at the JETPACK and only on Free Comic Book Day!

Rules? Yup, there have to be stinkin rules!

Ralph has to be present at the signing of each comic getting the CGCSST (C G C Signature Series Treatment). If RALPH does not see it it does not count – THAT IS THE CGC RULE!
Visit with…Scott Wegener – Atomic Robo 9 am – 11 pm, Jorge Vega and Dominic Vivona 9 am (or was it 10 am) – 4 pm, Ed McGuinness – 1 pm – 4 pm, Rich Woodall 2 pm (or sooner) – 5 pm, Severed Head Presents team - 9 am until they hate us, The Fat Squad – from the time Fat Guys get up until they head out for a cardiac by-pass or an extra large order of fries. Okay – there will be people to sign your stuff all day! You can be New England’s May 3^rd Signature Series King.
You can get up to 3 items signed by each creator, for free. After that there is a $3.00 charge per signature per creator (come on – you know that in doing this you are trying to make a valuable collectible from this item and signature. The creator deserves to share in it.).
We have FREE items for each creator/team to sign. Everyone gets one for free. After that you have to purchase them. We will have additional materials in the store as well.
CGC Signature series submissions cost $30 each. That is the cost to send each item in and have it graded. That cost includes the grading service as well as the insurance and postage fees. Payment is required at the time they are turned over to us.

Jetpack Comics and the Rochester Main Street Association present the first CITY-WIDE Free Comic Book Day Event!

Join us on Saturday, May 3rd for a Free Comic Book Day experience like no other! Of course there will be plenty of Free Comic Books available at Jetpack Comics but wouldn't you like to get over a DOZEN more for free?

The days events will take you through downtown Rochester, visiting stores, meeting Jabba The Hutt and filling out your FCBD Comic Book Hunt Card. Visit all the merchants participating in the event, get a free comic book from each location. Complete your card, return it to Jetpack Comics and be entered in a drawing to win an ED MCGUINNESS HULK original piece of art! Ed's originals sell well over $300 but this can be yours for FREE!

You can start the day at Jetpack Comics, pick up your Comic Book Hunt Card, complete with walking map and the comic book list, and be on your way to hunting down everything you need to win the super grand prize! Participating businesses may even have their own special deals going on that day.

WHERE DO I PARK FOR FREE COMIC BOOK DAY? - It’s no secret that parking at Jetpack can be troublesome at best. The lot and driveway next to the store are being reserved for the guests of the day. <click here for the map with the municipal parking lots.>
Many right near the store and others more centrally located for the day. Of course there is on street parking all over the city, as well!

SIGNING LIMITS - Due to time constraints we reserve the right to limit the number of items you may want a creator to sign. Please contact Ralph via email prior to FCBD to discuss large qtys of items to be signed.
