THE ROCHESTER OPERA HOUSE in association with ROCHESTER MAIN STREET PRESENTS THE ROCHESTER FREE COMIC…
THE ROCHESTER OPERA HOUSE SPONSORS and OWNS The Rochester Free Comic Book Day & Community Festival!

A big shout out and thank you to this years’ biggest heroes, Anthony Ejarque and the crew of the Rochester Opera House. Anthony swooped in and not only saved the event but has made it bigger and better than ever.
With a focus on literacy, ROH has added so much to the Free Comic Book Day event, making it a True Community Festival. Not only have they enhanced Hanson Street with additional vendors, a beer garden and live music (Kiss Tribute Band as well as the after party with the Toes) but they are awarding bonuses with purchase of the ROH POWER BAND
Yes, the old FCBD model will still apply! You do not have to make any purchases. You can still go from business to business and get 1 free comic book per family. You will still be able to visit the guests and vendors at the event hall at the Governor’s Inn as well as the vendors on Hanson Street. You will now get to enjoy live music around the city as well. But a $10 Power Band will give you so many additional bonuses!
For just $10 per person the ROH Power Band offers you entrance to special events, additional bonuses and discounts at select locations, entry to the after party and an incredible deal at Jetpack Comics. That’s right, your $10 Power Band purchase will be worth it at the Megastore alone, never mind all the other perks. Power Bands will be required to make a beverage purchase at the after party at the Garage at the Governor’s Inn. That, alone, is worth the price of the band.
Power Bands are sold per person so make sure your whole group has one so everyone can take advantage of the additional fun. Power Bands will be available at the Opera House retail store, STAGE DOOR & MORE as well as Jetpack Comics. All proceeds from the Power Bands go to fund the event, including the newly added literacy portions, as well as scholarships for the educational portion of ROH, The Rochester Performance and Arts Center. NONE OF THE FUNDS for Power Bands go to Jetpack Comics!
